Communication4all-an Erasmus+ project for pupils and students who do not use speech as their primary form of communication-going live.

Scoil Mochua Special School, Clondalkin hosted, with its partner schools Fleming Fulton, Belfast, St. Crispins, Edinburgh and Ysgol heop Goffa, Wales, the live launch of its dedicated web-site communication4all.eu

The web-site results from the work the 4 schools have been undertaking over the past 2 school years, focusing in particular on these students in each of our schools. In the case of Scoil Mochua approximately one third of our pupils/students are in this category of communicators.

The web-site is interactive and encourages dialogue/communication/learning/questions and answers/reports and updates/follow our actions and calendar and contains relevant links and resources which parents and staff in each school may find helpful.

The web-sites most important page for each school is their Action Pages.

The actions which each school is undertaking will be the test of the continuance of improved practice for and with our pupils and students into the future, well beyond the Erasmus+ programme end date which is July 2018.

Leargas the National Agency which coordinates the programme for schools was represented on the day by Deirdre O Brien, thank you so much for attending and showing such an interest and further expressions of support.

The school is currently awaiting the projects provision of 6 Teacher devices “Tobi Dynavox indi’s” for use in the classrooms modelling the use of communication symbols systems for pupils and students in our school. Thank you also to our local sponsor and support given through our local Google Data Center in Clondalkin.
